Online Roulette in Australia

Online Roulette is a virtual copy of the game found at most casinos in Australia and beyond. Software providers simulate the layout of the wheel and the betting table, but they also add the kinds of Roulette that the physical world can’t handle: Multi-Wheel, Multi-Ball, Bonus Spin Roulettes. Random Number Generators that choose the winning numbers are programmed to be as random as possible. The same idea is the essence of Roulette played offline: a player shouldn’t be able to predict the game outcomes.

Those who play the best online Roulette games have two more perks: there is a chance to claim an online casino bonus and play Roulette in a free demo. These options are only available to those who are gambling online. Nobody can play a game for free or get Bonus Spins at a land-based casino.

How to play online Roulette?

Roulette is a game of chance, and as long as you are gambling at a legitimate online casino and are not trying to hack the program, there is no way of predicting the outcomes of each spinning round. That’s why the most successful game strategy would be:

  • knowing the best online Roulette bets and the difference in their risks, odds, and payouts;

  • knowing how Roulette payouts are calculated;

  • sticking to the gambling budget and placing reasonable stakes;

  • playing casino games for real money responsibly.

So, a player sees a wheel with 37 (European and French Roulette) or 38 (American Roulette) black and red numbers from 1 to 36, plus a green zero, and an additional double zero at the American variation. There is a betting table – a layout with 3 columns and 12 rows. Gamblers put their virtual chips inside the squares or on the edges of the table, depending on the bet they choose. At a land-based casino, the croupier spins the wheel and drops the ball, while at an online casino, a player waits for the Random Number Generator to determine the winner of the game. If your bet covers the winning number, you receive a payout.

The payout and the winning odds depend on what kind of bet you have placed.

Roulette bets

There are two kinds of bets in Roulette – inside and outside bets. The inside Roulette bets cover from 1 to 6 numbers; they have lower winning odds and higher payouts. The outside Roulette bets include longer sequences: they cover 12 or 18 numbers. That makes them safer, improves the winning chances, and lowers the payout rates.

Roulette winning odds

If you know how Roulette bets work and how many numbers on the wheel they cover, you don’t have to memorize the winning odds and rates when you are playing the best online Roulette games or gambling offline. You can calculate them using a simple formula.

European and French Roulettes have 37 numbers on the wheel (0 – 36), so the winning odds will equal 37/N - 1, where N = how many Roulette numbers your bet covers.

When you are playing American Roulette, replace the numerator 37 with 38 – this is how many numbers an American wheel has: 0, 00, 1…, 36. The formula will be 38/N - 1, where N = how many Roulette numbers your bet covers.

For example, the odds of winning with s Split bet (covering 2 numbers) will be 17.5 to 1 for European and French Roulettes and 18 to 1 for the American variation.

To calculate how much money any of those bets will bring you if you win, use the same formula, but replace the numerator with 36. Plus, don’t forget to add the amount of the initial stake. So, if you win a Split bet, the payout will be = 36/N - 1 = 17. It means that you will receive an amount equal to 17x times your initial stake plus your stake. If you’ve bet $10 on a Split and won, you will get 17x$10 + $10 = $180.

European, French, and American Roulettes

Even though these three game variations look similar at first, especially to a novice gambler, there are a couple of features that make a difference.

  1. The American version has one number more than the other kinds. There are two green pockets with 0 and 00, while European and French wheels have single zeroes only. That makes the total number of 38 American wheel pockets against 37 (European and French), lowering winning odds for a gambler and raising the House Edge.

  2. As a rule, French Roulettes have 2 unique rules that can help a gambler improve the chances. However, it may not always be working when you are gambling online.

  3. We have noticed that among online Roulettes, the American and the European kinds are the most common.

If you are wondering which variation to choose for gambling for real money online or offline, the priority to follow will be: French, European, and American. Never go for the American wheel when there are other options (or in case you love losing more than winning).

Free Roulette games

You can play free Roulette games at various online casinos, as most of them offer free demo versions of all the titles in their game collection. Demos don’t require signing up or creating an account from a player; they are there for trial. So, visit one of the following Australian online casinos and play online Roulette for free: Bizzo, Woo, Joe Fortune, Spin Samurai, National casino, Red Dog, Ricky casino, etc.

In addition, there are a bunch of free Roulette mobile applications available for free download at Google Play and App Store: Live Casino Roulette, Roulettist, Roulette World, Roulette Royale, Roulette Wheel, Roulette Zero, Roulette VIP, etc.

On top of that, you can find various websites that give you a chance to play free online Roulette simulations, like the webpage 247 Roulette.

Online Roulette for real money

If you want to play Roulette for real money and win, you will have to sign up, create an account and make a real-cash deposit. The only exception when you don’t have to transfer any money first is the situation when you have successfully claimed a No Deposit Cash casino bonus. With this promo, there is a possibility that you will win some money. It is just a chance, not a sure thing, though. We believe that it won’t hurt anyone if they play Roulette for free before depositing real money.

Best Roulette strategies

In our humble opinion, the best online Roulette strategy is choosing even-money outside bets (Even/Odd, Red/Black, High/Low) and controlling your temper together with your gambling budget. That could be enough for a beginner strategy.

The next level would be taking these two basic principles and applying a couple of the best online Roulette strategies based on negative progression to them, like the Martingale (actually, we won’t suggest it as the best option because it requires a considerable Roulette budget), Fibonacci, and D’Alembert systems. The main idea of these strategies is to increase every bet you’ve lost and change nothing when you win. Yes, the stakes will be growing together with your losses, but any successful round will compensate for everything that has been happening before.

What a gambler shouldn’t do is believe that the best online Roulette strategies will ensure excellent wins and use them while placing the riskiest inside bets – those covering 1-6 numbers only.

Where to play online Roulette in Australia?

You can play online Roulette for real money as well as free Roulette games at the following Australian online casinos: Woo Casino, National casino, 7Bit casino, Joe Fortune, Queenspins, Lucky Dreams, Spin Samurai, Ricky casino, Bizzo, etc. Usually, all the online casinos offer free Roulette demo versions too, if you are not looking for real-money gambling.

How to choose the best website to play Roulette?

To ensure safe and fun gambling on the Internet, no matter which casino game you are playing – online Roulette or online slots, you have to check how secure the Australian online casino you’ve chosen is: find the information about its license and copies of the documents confirming it (usually it is all available on the website), go through customer feedback and casino blacklists online.

Don’t forget to test the casino’s mobile compatibility and overall convenience and find the payment options that will suit you.

Mobile Roulette

Most of the online casinos of today are compatible with mobile devices: mobile phones and tablets, besides being available through a web browser on your desktop. Some casinos have much more adjustable and convenient mobile versions than the others; some of them may suit your device better or worse. That’s why we always recommend checking the adaptability and mobile design beforehand.

FAQ

Online Roulette is a virtual copy of the game found at most casinos. Software providers simulate the layout of the wheel and the betting table, and introduce different kinds of Roulette as well: there are all the classic variations: French, European, American, and dozens of more – the ones that the physical world can’t handle: Multi-Wheel, Multi-Ball, Bonus Spin Roulettes, and so on. Random Number Generators that choose the winning numbers are programmed to be as random as possible. The same idea is the essence of Roulette played offline: a player shouldn’t be able to predict the game outcomes. The differences are multiple bonuses that you can claim at online casinos only and free online Roulette demos, available only when you are gambling online in Australia. You won’t have a chance to play Roulette for free or get any Bonus Spins at a land-based casino.

Comparing the classic variations: French, American, and European Roulettes, you will get the best winning odds playing French Roulette or European. When choosing between these two, it is better to go for the French version as it has additional rules that can make a gambler’s life simpler (rules ‘La Partage’ and ‘En Prison’). The American wheel has worse winning odds as there is an additional number – 00. The more options for the ball to land on, the more difficult it is to guess the winning number.

If we consider ‘the best’ meaning ‘bringing the highest payouts’, they will definitely be Single bets. They cover one number on the betting table only and payout at a rate of 35/1. The winner will receive the initial stake back (let’s say it was $10) plus that stake multiplied by 35x ($350 + $10 = $360). At the same time, single bets are the riskiest: the odds of hitting a single number on a European wheel are 37 to 1, and on an American – 38 to 1. If someone believes that ‘the best’ bets are the ones that have more chances to win, they should consider opting for the outside bets covering the most of the betting table – 18 numbers, which will give you almost 50/50 winning chance – the best you can get at Roulette. These Outside bets include Black/Red, Even/Odd, and High/Low. Their winning odds are 1.056 to 1 (for European variations) and 1.111 to 1 (for American wheels).

Yes, some Australian online casinos offer such a chance. You can play Live Roulette at PlayAmo casino, Bizzo, Woo, 7 Bit casino, Joe Fortune, Lucky Dreams, Spin Samurai, Ricky casino. As a rule, Live Dealer games, including Live Roulette, don’t have a free demo version, so be prepared to register and make a deposit first. Besides, playing Live Roulette on a mobile device may not be a good idea (unless you are connected to Wi-Fi and your mobile device can provide you with the adequate visuals).

You can play free Roulette or the best online Roulette for real money at the following Australian online casinos: Woo Casino, National casino, 7Bit casino, Joe Fortune, Queenspins, Lucky Dreams, Spin Samurai, Ricky casino, Bizzo, etc. We always advise online gamblers to play free online Roulette games before starting to gamble for real money.

You can play Roulette online free in a demo version or find simulations of free Roulette games at various Australian online casinos: Bizzo, Woo, Joe Fortune, Spin Samurai, National casino, Red Dog, Ricky casino, etc. In addition, there are a bunch of free Roulette mobile applications available for free download at Google Play and App Store: Live Casino Roulette, Roulettist, Roulette World, Roulette Royale, Roulette Wheel, Roulette Zero, Roulette VIP, etc. It is always smart to play free Roulette games before starting to gamble for real money online in Australia.

Roulette online is a game of chance, and as long as you are gambling on a legitimate online platform and are not trying to cheat or hack the program, there is no way of predicting the outcomes of each spinning round. That’s why the most successful strategy would be: knowing Roulette bets and the difference in their risks, odds, and payouts; knowing how Roulette payouts are calculated; sticking to the gambling budget; betting moderately; playing gambling games responsibly. Winning at online Roulette at an Australian online casino is not different from spinning the Wheel at the table of a land-based casino. Just decide on the bet you’d like to place (inside or outside bets – they cover different numbers and have different winning odds and payout rates – we’ve talked about all that above) and the amount of money you are willing to risk. Move virtual Roulette chips onto the numbers of the betting table (exact copy of the layout you’ll find at a land-based casino) and wait for the ball to land on a winning number. When you are playing online, Random Number Generators embedded into the software will choose a winning number for you.

When you are playing Free Roulette (a demo game or a simulation), you can’t win real money. Free Roulette and other casino games are likely to require no registration and, as the name suggests, no deposits. To play Roulette for real money and win in Australia, a gambler usually has to sign up with an online casino, create a new account and make the first real money deposit. The only exception is when a player has successfully claimed a No Deposit Cash casino bonus. With the promo, they have a chance to win some money. It is just a chance, not a sure thing. But in this case, you are not playing Free Roulette: you are playing real-money Roulette (you have registered, created an account, and chosen a deposit/withdrawal option before claiming the bonus), and you are not paying anything because you are using a casino bonus.

Thinking that all the online Roulette games and other casino titles in Australia are rigged just because they are played virtually is nothing but a misconception. There are dozens and dozens of legitimate Australian online platforms where you can play free Roulette games and other casino games or gamble for real money and win without facing security issues or scams. To ensure safe and fun gambling on the Internet, you have to find the information about the Australian casino’s license and copies of the documents confirming it (usually it is all available on the website), go through customer feedback, and casino blacklists online.
